We collect as little as the work requires, and we say what we do with it.
What we collect
This website does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies. When you write to us we receive what you send: your name, organisation, email address and the contents of your message and any files. When a program enters diligence we collect the corporate, land, community and financial information described on the developers page.
Why we collect it
- To screen and diligence programs and to structure and administer SPVs.
- To meet know-your-counterparty, anti-money-laundering and sanctions obligations.
- To report to co-funders as described in definitive documents.
- To respond to you.
Who sees it
The partners, professional advisers (counsel, auditors, verifiers) bound by confidentiality, and co-funders where a non-disclosure agreement is in place. We do not sell personal information.
Where it is kept
Email and document storage are hosted by providers in Canada and the United States. Information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
How long
Files for programs we decline are deleted within twelve months unless you ask us to keep them. Files for programs we fund are retained for the life of the SPV plus seven years, as required by law.
Your rights
Under Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA you may ask what we hold about you, ask for correction, and withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual limits. Write to stephane@transitioncarboncapital.com.
